Compose a workplace

Choose the layout and context.

Use drag and drop to compose dashboards and menus. A general application dashboard provides an overview; an Asset dashboard displays information about a specific Asset and is linked to an AssetType.

You can configure several dashboards for the same AssetType. The consultant determines which are available from a route. When there is more than one, users switch between them using tabs.

Columns

Place one or more columns side by side and give them percentage widths. Widgets stack vertically within each column.

Tiles

Configure rows and columns. Place widgets in tiles or let a widget span several tiles.

Group functionality in a dashboard and reuse it as part of other dashboards.

From figures to underlying records

Show what needs attention and let users explore it.

Use a filter as the basis for counts and aggregations. Show how many orders remain open, for example, or calculate a sum, minimum, maximum or average.

Aggregation

Display a calculated value for the records selected by a filter.

Chart

Group records by a property in a bar or pie chart. Clicking a group opens a configured dataview with the underlying data.

Aggregation table

Group a selection by a property and show several aggregations side by side.

History

Show changes in a property's value in a chart. Use the current Asset, a related Asset or a fixed Asset you select.

Data in context

Show an Asset as more than a row in a table.

Combine properties with information from related Assets, locations and views. A report could show its own details alongside information about the person who submitted it.

Property list

Choose which properties to display. On an Asset dashboard, use the current Asset, a related Asset or a fixed selected Asset. On a general application dashboard, only a fixed Asset is supported: values are read-only there, with navigation to the Asset available.

Properties panel

Drag properties into cells in a grid. Set each property to read-only or editable on that dashboard. The user's access rights continue to apply.

Location and location chain

Display a location on a map with a marker, or show parent locations as a breadcrumb. Both widgets can use the current Asset, a related Asset or a fixed selected Asset.

Dataview on the dashboard

Embed a dataview with a saved filter. This embedded view displays the selected records and has no filter panel of its own.

ResourcePlanning

Put available and requested capacity side by side.

The ResourcePlanning widget displays availability and required capacity in a Gantt-style timeline. It shows time blocks for one or more resources alongside the capacity being requested.

Resources can be people, rooms, vehicles or other equipment. Demand might come from tasks, meetings or reservations. This creates a shared view of available capacity and required time.

Widgets can lead to other information or start a process. Put actions close to the data they relate to.

Link to a dashboard

Use a button-like widget to open a configured dashboard.

Link to a dataview

Select a saved filter or create one, then choose the dataview in which the selection opens.

Inline process

Run a process within a dashboard widget. Reserve space for the interface; a scrollbar appears when the content is larger.

Link to a process

Start a process in a popup or navigate to it. On an Asset dashboard, the process receives the current Asset as an argument.

Explanation and presentation

Make the workplace clear for the user.

Add static text for guidance or display an image using a URL. An HTML-template widget lets you include a custom presentation that can also contain Asset data.

Combine these elements with figures, properties and actions. Build a dashboard around a task and a menu that helps users reach the relevant parts of the application.

One connected workflow

From viewing a report to handling it.

An Asset dashboard can show a report's details, include information about its submitter and display the location on a map. A process button can then open a handling step that asks for a comment and changes the status.

This illustrates how widgets can work together. You choose the data, layout and process steps. Roles and rights determine which actions a user may perform, even when a dashboard marks a field as editable.
