A permission group describes the capabilities users receive. Configure access at AssetType level and refine it down to individual properties.

A role consists of one or more permission groups and is assigned to users. This bundles the capabilities needed for a role in your organisation.

Use that structure to align access to data with permission to start processes. Configure the precise permission groups and roles for your application.

The Conneqt API exposes the data layer and connects to the rights and roles system. Read and change operations are checked against the relevant permissions.

The service layer records the creation, modification and deletion of data. Recording data changes is therefore part of the platform, alongside the way information is presented in the application.

A dashboard properties panel lets you mark each property as read-only or editable. The signed-in user's rights can still prevent a change.

Filters and permissions also serve different purposes. A filter such as ‘My reports’ creates a relevant selection; authorisation determines which data and actions are accessible.
